Places a little bit rundown, but the service was great and the barbecue was good as well. If you want something a little spicy, I would go double hut because the hot didn't seem spicy at all, though and the coleslaw was good Price was very reasonable as well

The food is amazing! Don't let the outside fool you! Give the Mac and cheese/pulled pork a try! The homemade cornbread was moist and amazing. I wouldn't pass this one up. The service was great! It wasn't crowded but we went on a weekday. The ambiance wasn't great but we got our meal to go.

The best damn barbecue in the area. Period! If you want great food this is your new secret spot. You won't find the fanciest dining room with all the trappings of a "Famous" place but you will find all the love and warmth of a true southern barbecue restaurant. This place reminds me of some 'off the beaten path' mom & pop places I have been to in the south. Food that melts in your mouth and warms your soul.

I have driven by 1,000 times in 30 years. Finally met a friend there as we are both retired. It looks rundown because it is. However, it was a great value with mostly good food. The Tuesday Turkey leg was outstanding with no sauce. Maybe the best I've had. My buddy said the tips were too chewy and I agree after one bite. However, the amount of food was a lot. Serving plain sliced bread with no condiments seems a bit cheap, but I was full and didn't care. The small dining room is cluttered and in need of a good rehab. The service was excellent, I would return.

Divine is a small place off of a road that I travel frequently. It was suggested to me with great reviews, so I had to see what it was all about. I went around 4:50pm on a Tuesday. I was the only one in the restaurant when I placed my takeout order. Customer service was admirable. I ordered the small rib tip dinner ($2 off on Tuesdays) with macaroni and cheese and baked beans. I spent around $16 with tip. My order was ready in less than 5 minutes. The rib tips were tender and well seasoned. They didn't even need sauce. Mac and cheese was cheesy. Baked beans were too barbecuey for me but decent. Portion sizes were awesome for the price. Especially in the days of Covid where sizes are shrinking and prices are rising. Divine stomps out the other BBQ joints around town.

Divine BBQ is a small, family owned business on West Washington Street east of Bridgeport Road. It's not a fancy place but clean, good food, 6 or 7 dine in tables, order at the counter and parking is on side or in front of the building. As soon as you walk in your greeted by a warm and heart felt hello from the family. You can dine in, carry out or they offer deliver within a few miles. Their BBQ smoker is outdoors and easy to see as you get closer to the restaurant especially if it's in use at the time. This is the small town type of business where after two or three visits they know and remember you. It is no longer considered Divine 2, just Divine, since they closed the other location. The smoked meats and BBQ is good and not overly sweet sauces. The sauce is added to the meat after you order for those who prefer smoked meat only. The lunch specials are terrific, very affordable for lunch or dinner, nice sides and EXCELLENT homemade mac and cheese. I don't remember the gentleman's name that makes it but he's a hoot and takes great pride in his mac and cheese. Ribs, rib tips, pulled chicken and pork, several sides and desserts are available. Fountain sodas are not available here, only cans, but something I can overlook since the food is so tasty. The Porky Mac is my favorite. Meat and sauce of your choice is on the bottom topped with a large portion of mac and cheese served as a small or large order. Go LARGE! You will find true comfort food here. Just typing this has me thinking of porky mac for lunch tomorrow. Now moving on to dessert...stay at Divine or another option is walk 8 or 9 steps next door to Sassy's. Next door is a SMALL bakery, Sassy's, that opened this past May. Sam and her husband are pastry chef graduates from Ivy Tech and building their dream business. I was one of her first customers on her very first day and I've watched her expand her business into the success it's become. Be sure to pop in and grab dessert to go. MANY tasty treats but the Caramel bars are EXCELLENT!!! And the lemon bars are another favorite along with cupcakes, brownies, etc. Sam and her husband are really nice folks and wonderful addition next door to Divine.
